The yellow-throated warbler (Setophaga dominica) is the rarer of the “yellow throats” we see in Central Park and in the boroughs of New York City. The common yellowthroats are, well, more common in our area. Both are beautiful birds, and I am always excited to see either of them. I was able to photograph a yellow-throated warbler in Central Park on April 2, 2022, and then another one in Green-Wood Cemetery later in the month.
