The spring flowers have been particularly gorgeous this year. From tulips to magnolias, cherry blossoms to irises, 2023 has been a blooming festival!
I decided to dive into some allium, and this slide show has the larger photos and then the deep dive. The purple allium was photographed in Central Park on May 15, and the white allium at Green-Wood Cemetery on May 22.
The wide variety in this slide show includes alstromeria, daisy, water lily, lanceleaf coreopsis, peonies, and columbine. The photos were taken in Central Park, Green-Wood Cemetery, Riverside Park Community Garden and Lido Beach Passive Nature Area on Long Island, May 15 through June 4.
As I did with Ice Art, I played around with some white magnolia blossoms in PhotoShop to create “paintings” of these flowers in various styles. You’ll see the original photos, then the reimaginings in this slideshow.
Tulips particularly fascinate me, but so do all flowers that I can get close up to and dive inside. These flowers were photographed in Green-Wood Cemetery and Central Park, March 23 to April 17, 2023.
