The arrival of flowers in 2022 is especially exciting, now that I can photograph them with my new Sony mirrorless camera.

Tulips in the Wind

Tulip season in 2022 was especially magical this year. You can see many of the photos I took in Central Park, Green-Wood Cemetery, and on Cross Bay Boulevard from April 16 to May 12 in my blog. I created a video, set to music by Chopin, which you can see in the blog and below.

A Spring Full of Wonder

Thanks to Kevin Sisco for identifying these beautiful yellow flowers seen on March 5, 2022: Winter Aconite.

Just when one is firmly convinced winter is here to stay, the flowers start popping up their heads and joy returns to New York. The second round — the irises, daffodils and tulips — are so breathtaking in their beauty, as are the bleeding hearts, fritillaria, grape hyacinths and other spring blossoms. These flowers were photographed all over New York City in April and May 2022. While many celebrate the arrival of the cherry blossoms, I so look forward to the dogwood blossoms and crabapple blooms.

Spring means magnolia blossoms, tulips, hellebore, daffodils, Japanese quince and many other beautiful flowers.
