Fish crows (Corvus ossifragus) are very similar to American crows, but tend to hang out closer to bodies of water. They have a nasal call, and eat almost anything they can find. I have seen them at a large number of places, but mostly at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and on Staten Island.
